After 7 years of dating, Jake proposed to me. We got married on a Tuesday in our local courthouse, and a month later, I moved to New Orleans to start a life with him. I left behind amazing friends and family. I also left Chicago, my absolute favorite city. I spent years working downtown and I attended Columbia College. I studied Journalism and Public Relations. While I have made many changes in my life recently, I don't regret a single decision and I believe that every move we make helps get us to where we are meant to be.
